Describe a process for future software package selection at CAET-Insure. It is expected that this process will have several stages. Explain how each of these stages would have helped to aboid the problem encountered with the workflow software package project. (16marks)

Some of my friends are also telling that this was about Invitation to Tender. What you guys did for this question?

Yeah a few of my friends said they thought it was an Invitation to Tender. I did a feasability study - looks like thats 16marks ive lost already!

I attempted Paper 2.1 this June and yes the steps that would have been involved in selecting future software packages would be:-

1 Producing a Detailed Program Specification
2 Invitation to Tender
3 Evaluating Supplie Proposals
4 Benchmark And Weighted Ranking Tests
5 And Lastly The Production of a Software contract

Invitation To Tender is Solely not the answer to the question anyhow it forms a part of it..
Hope you guys will pick up marks in other questions

i think that it is about the system improvement

he ask about the stages with that we can abide errors which occured

i think it is related to system devolpment

becoz u will use best devolment method with that can cover up the errors

& thats y WATER FALL steps is reqiured to abid th errors in th devolpment of software

my concept can be wrong ut i wrote the WATER FALL STEPS

The Waterfall Steps Are used when developing a software inhouse
But the question in the exam required steps that should be taken when choosing a software from the External Supplier and not developing inhouse So the Waterfall steps are not viable
