ACCA 3.5,3.6,3.7 exam have to pass in one sitting

   ( >> )
myACCA - 30 Dec 2005, 01:30 pm
I am preparing for these three papers to sit in June 2006.I have to pay lot of money to ACCA for these three papers. At one end the pressure of collecting this money and on ther other end student has to pass all at one attempt.
What's the inside matter in it ?
Isn't it extra pressure for students from poor countries ?
Thank You.

Yes of course its big pressure if one cannot afford to pay fee in sterling pound.I know some countries where 1 sterling pound is more than 300 or their currency. So it may cause big chaos for students from African subcontinent.
ACCA may have to look into that matter and it may can set prices for these countries according to their GDP.
And about passing papers in one attempt is really challenging one and i thinks its to make students more focus on the workings of accounts and to give them taste of high pressure which they have to face in near future during their job time or sometime during internship period as well.

It's really difficult to take 3 subjects at the same time. I feel very hard in Dec 05 to take both 2.5 and 2.6 together. I should only take one to sit in each exam.

Gilly has made good point. Its to test you (student) under extreme pressure.
And myACCA its really extra problem for you.But nothing could be done so be hopeful and aggressive, work hard then there will be no problem at all.

I am not sure about ruling change will apply on current students or not.I would ask from ACCA connect.

The question of different price levels for different countries came up last year.

Alan Blewitt actually speaks about it on the internet broadcast that he did late last year.

He says something about these countries actually want to pay the same as the developed countries because they do not want to be conceded to in any way, including financially.

Regarding the currency issue, he said that they were trying to improve the remittance acceptance system

Quite tough in one sitting - but now rules are being relaxed in 2007.

I am preparing only 1 paper for june sitting.
And then i think i could get benefit from new rule 2007 regarding core papers.
Accountant - 25 Mar 2006, 02:50 am
I think its to test the nerves of new "accountant". :)
myACCA - 03 Apr 2006, 08:01 am
It also tests the money in pocket of new "accountant" :(
You may not have idea how its difficult for poor student to buy Sterling Pund :((((
nafeesa - 14 Apr 2006, 09:04 am
There will be no change to this rule even in ACCA 2007 so don't ask. :)

you see my two younger brothers sat for core papers from kenya in last sitting.

both of them passed two of the three papers in first attempt .

one got 3.5-55

3.6-fail

3.7-55

which i consider as a good result this is when they didnt attend any college , no private coaching only home study.last year they completed bsc hons in applied accounting (obu) without any mentor support. they just got details from accawebsite and bought project book of bpp and started working on it .ofcourse they used to borrow refrence books from library.it worked for them.

what i saw when i was with them in kenya for some time that they tend to utilise the whole day properly on studies with a consistent effort. they used to go to bed by 10-10.30pm.i have never seen them under pressure during last days when for most people adralinine is running high and they tend to put sleepless nights before exams.they are so cool and composed thats its like nothing big.weekends are for relaxing.

i think its possible provided how you take it .one should read my earlier post on first time passes in carrier forum.

you are right prashant.
most of the students don't study regularly.
i think regular study is the key to success.
