Generally ,accounting is considered as a boaring,dull,time consuming and dealing with numbers /rules.

Unlike other professions like

Engineering , Medicine ,archtechture,dentistry,armed forces,etc. which are tangible,intersting and adventerous.

Though all professions require hard work. :roll:

in accounting sense
please comment upon the effort and rewards in comparison of other professions.

I am still now in workfield but i enjoy studying it. I think it depends on your personality.

i am not downgrading accountancy profession

what i am speaking is of general overview of people.

its not tangible thats true -like in engineering ,medicine where one has to hold instruments,appliances,etc.

its not adventerous which is also true like in travelling,armed forces,engineering where one has to go out in feild.

intersting in the sense that u dont have any thrills like in armed forces ,new challanges like in engineering,medicine,etc.

well u r also right that it also depends upon an individuals personality and intrest.

no sir i dont think so that accounting is bored but it depends upon the person who is interested in it or not.i have myself engineering field and choose the accounting field but i have seen so far that i am quite satisfied with it rather then engineer coz it is reputable and also a dignity can be found by accountacy degrees e.g the major is a good paid job specially in industries it an accountant is respected a lot.

Well overall accountancy is not boring at all.

It also depends on your institute. i.e if you compare ACCA with ICAP/ICAEW, then surely people from ICAP/ICAEW are borinhg because they are older and tired (kind of) while in ACCA you will find energatic, young and people who just have started their life and career so they enjoy fun (like I and most of us do) and life.

I, in Pakistan, have found out that due to long training period, tough exams, unclear passing crietaria etc people from ICAP and ICMAP, when they become members are old and tired so they have only thing to run after is mony so they are very boring.

People I have found most interesting are MBAs here. They are always happy and smilling and do alot of fun. They hardly are found serious.
