Wouldn't you think now role of Accountants are decreasing because of new advanced Arifical Intelligence based accounting softwares ?

There is no doubt Software Engineers are becoming wise and wise and they are developing Artifical Intelligence based Softwares. And these softwares are used in Detection of Oil and Gas Reserves. And are applied in many other industries.
But as far rivalary of Accountant and Softwares is regarded then my opinion is that indeed Softwares help accountants to make there work easy but softwares are not ultimate replacement of Accountant.

Yes actually softwares are made to assist people. But sometime they take place of people. As you can see in various fields. Most prominent example is of machines they have taken place of labour ...
Am i wrong ?

Would it not be better to say Accounts Softwares are made by Accountants rather than Programmers ?

Today specialized software firms for business softwares hire accountants. That provides another employment opportunity to us.
2nd thing is that an a/c software can't be run by other then accountants.
However it is the alternative of manual work so it is taking the place of small accountants.

Accounts softwares are run by accountants but it also cuts jobs of accountants.

I'd like to think new software on the market has undoubtedly decrease the dependancy of an Accountant especially companies with a small turnover,
But the guys that have probbaly lost out, are the bookkeepers, secretaries, juniors.
Software can only go so far as producing a fine set off accounts, books, tax comps, but a need for interpretation, decision making........only an experienced accountant would be able to give that advice to add value to a buiness, not software.
