Hi, i have just transferred from CAT to ACCA part 2 and i can not make my mind which papers should i got with first i need to take 3 papers at a time can anyone please advice me which 3 papers will be best to go with and also keeping in mind of papers of part 3.

According to the study guide, knowledge of F4(law) and F7(financial reporting) is required for paper F8. F5 consists of different costing techniques, budgeting, decision making and performance measures and F5 requires previous knowledge of F2(which is a basic costing or management accounting paper). F9 is a financial management paper and it consists of investment appraisal, risk management, cost of capital, business finance etc. and even F9 requires previous knowledge of F2.

So I think it would be better to start with F4, F5 and F7 for June 2008 and then F6,F8 and F9 for Dec 2008.

According to me F4,F5 and F6 are suitable as this is the order that has been set by ACCA for us but still alot of students do the papers in different orders as they see fit for themselves.And more importantly you should have reasonable knowledge of the papers before further progression.
