I am preparing all these papers by my self.plz if u want to share with me the suggessions of any kind about these papers plz join me.i am on chap 17 of 2.4,on consolidation of paper 2.5,and also on chap2 of 2.6 as well.All serious comments and ppl r much much welcomed.

I am planning to sit for 2.4 2.5 and 2.6 papers on Dec exams but i will decied after the result for 2.6 paper. Just few days ago i brought books but still not opened ..ehe !!

Are you sure about doing 2.6 and 3.1 together? The examiner for 3.1 stated that she never intended that these papers should be done together and cites that as one of the main reasons why it had such an abysmal pass rate. The syllabus for 2.5 and 2.4 are vast and I would recommend just taking these 3.

Thanx u both ppl for welcoming me and giving me good piece of advice.I will again consider my decision of appearing in papers of 3.1.I am looking forward my performance and plan of covering the syllabus for the coming 30 days.Then i will decide.I am good in planning.And i have made the plan,as usually students do in this kind of professional studies.I will surely consult with u.as i have covered first 18 chapters of 2.4 bpp text.while i have started 2.5 from consolidation and regularly reviewing the IAS.2.4 hopefully not give me tough time and according to my plan i will be able to complete 2.4 before exam.while about 2.6-i am planning to take it also with speed than 3.1.if i will able to complete 2.6 on time then i will consider more seriously 3.1-I am also rewiewin isa's for 2.6 and 3.1-I am looking forward from u good wishes,as well as valueable advices.And also encouragement and guidance. :idea:

i wanted to ask that text books for dec2006 are yet not available so shall i start studying from old session book .Will it make any difference .And this time i am planning to give parers from 2.1 to 2.4/ :D .i have bought 2.2 book and have started learning the case laws.

Maheen! Usually there is usually no big change in the new books at this level.But new books will be available within 2 to 3 weeks.And u can purchase new books then.But if books,u using r upto last session then there is no problem.But in case of paper 2.3 u must have new book.Because there is tax rate changes every years.But until then u can use the old book so that ur days r not wasted.Every day counts in ur exam success.We can discuss paper 2.4 with u if u wish so.In case of 2.2 u should first prepare contract law or next chapters.Contract law is the most important area.And focus on the facts and decions of the cases not on the names.As examiner says if someone write the fact and decision of case it has equal value.

thanks for the tips regarding 2.2 . i am going to join my classes within few days and then we shall exchange important info about 2.4 papers. i am planning to do 2.1 and 2.2 on my own as they are all about learning stuff! how was your study plan in 2.1 and 2.2 papers. i dont think they are that tough.one only needs to study deligently.

Janab My study plan was not so organized at that time.Because i was busy in some construction work.But i made a smart move:) that i have a friend whom i met daily at 5 am daily 15 km away from my place to teach him, 2.1 - i was also studying for the first time -So although he was not so willing to give time but to my request he did so.So i disscussed 2.1 text and revision kit with him.But i focused on revision kit of 2.1 v much as it has many tricky questions.And God has blessed me with a Pass.But due to a lot of discussion i gathered good knowledge of that paper so i advise that 2.1 and 2.2 papers can be passed easily by discussion with ur friends.But friend must be cooperating and serious:)While in 2.2 i focused on the text and case laws as well.And i gave a lot of my time to paper 2.2-But revision kit is also important to practice-

will discussing the topics with friends will result in pass script :?

Maheen,as u r ready to take classes.Most institutes provide their own notes.And even ask their students not to purchase books and revision kits.But as in my case i studied the text deeply so i depended on the text and rk only.But as 2.1 is the easiest paper of AccA for those students who make a mind map of the whole subject and logic of syllabus.And is the most difficult paper for students who believe in Ratta.But luck also counts.So discussing with hard working friends makes a big difference to clear the logic and mind map of syllabus.
2nd question about the notes,First focus should be on text,then rk,thenpast papers from acca site,Student accountant articles r also v v much important.Because usually in case of 2.1,articles of last three month provide a good guess of 60 percent exam paper. :idea:
