When referring to a specific case is it only enough to mention the case name and year, or would I also have to describe the case itself. Thank you

Yes you have to tell about the case BREIFLY ...no need to write the same way its in the book

Dear, You need to mention case name for example Mr.A Vs Mr.B and also a brief storey of the case....
However, the brief storey is more important than case title it self for example if you forget the title of case but you know about the story of it then you can write it as, "IN A DECIDED CASE IT WAS HELD THAT................................................."
The more cases you will quote the higher the chance to pass the exams...
Case Laws are the back bone of english law and whole english law consists of common law so make sure your answers are properly referenced, if you forget the title then you can write only a brief storey of case i can confirm this methodology will help you to pass the exam...
