:?: Hey guys. Lets talk about your study techniques. I read my texts thoroughly then use revision kits as a self text. I'd really apreciate feedback. :D Coffee and silence are also a must.

Yes, I too read the study text, then go through the exam kit.

I spend about 75% on the revision kit 5 weeks from the exam and refer to the text book on answers I don't understand.

Also I try to sit at least 3 to 4 mock exams (old papers) in exam conditions, to try and get used to planning my time for each question, improve presentation of answers and pick up on the easy marks I'm missing out on.
It highlights what I am weak on in each particular question.
Then I focus on these weak areas (the easy marks first, then the more technical areas) and try to become stronger on them.

I agree with Womble.

I have been doing almost the same procedures as above. After all of that, I also go through the Pocket note card and write down the main points and important formula.

In the end I would be left with these few pages of main points and important formula, which I use before the exam to build up the knowledge network of the subject.

I have found it very useful.

Dear Friends!
i can prepare my self according to the following procedure.

first of all i see the past papers and make an idea which questions , chapters are mostly
held in the previous 5 year papers.

then i can select all these questions from 20% importance to 100% importance.
the question which is held only one time in past 5 years is of 20% importance for me.

then i see reselect that how many questions i need to solve 100% paper.

but my one view is always to cover all important questions of a chapter.
even that chapter have questions that are not held in past papers but are
of greatest importance.

then i can make a time table to how cover the entire selected questions of in less time.
for this i can first only learn all the questions and clear all concepts.

secondly, i can again repeat the first process but now i can write each question.

thirdly , i can again write each question

fourthly , i can again write each question and then after writing three times each question, i have full confidence.

all the above process take only three months.

i record but hardly listen to it unless i really dun understand the topics.
I only do some questions from my lecturer and if i have enough time i do some from rev. but no i dun do all.
for theory, i just read notes, then for topics i am not so sure, i check textbk but if the data on the text is very vague i search internet. Mainly is to understand instead of plain memorise.

Cos i have bad memory. what i study today i will forget within 1 or 2 days.
If you ask me theory i can't answer but normally in exam i be able to write some of them out.
