HI PPL
I know now that doing CAT is more expensive than doing ACCA part 1.
1) But what are advantages and disadvantages of doing CAT, other than ACCA part 1.....???
1) And the time part 1 takes to complete..???

1)
CAT is better for those who has not background in accounting. Its starts from easy papers and lead to the stage where student can run into Part2. Easily understanding CAT actually split 3 papers of part1 of ACCA into 9 papers. Though it takes more time but it greases.
2)
ACCA Part1 has only 3 papers which can all be taken in single attempt so minimum it takes 6 months.

Advantages
1)ACCA part 2 will become more easier
2)If you study paper 8 then 2.6 will be easier to pass otherwise it will be nighmare for all part 2 students
3)paper 7 and 10 combination will lead you to easily pass 2.4
4)paper 9 will lead you to pass 2.3 without any need for tution unless you change your variant
I will suggest you to complete your CAT with paper 8 Audit and paper 9 taxation combination i also did same and now i am preparing for 2.1,2.2,2.3..............
paper 8 is too much difficult for CAT level and lot of infact all students leave it in choice but you should attempt it.............
there is much difference between a CAT student and a part 1 qualified student which you may be able to assess on completion of CAT exams.........CAT completion is best choice instead jump to part 1.....
