Do i have to remember case names and references exactly for scoring good marks in 2.2 paper ?
Rafik - 15 Dec 2005, 07:15 am
Yes Vaugh i usually stick with BPP study text but for Law paper i collected extra names and references from Foulks Lynch and i passed the paper with 64 marks .
So in my opinion its too good to remember more and more cases.

Yes Vaugh i done the same as Rafik said collected names from both text books and got 64 marks in first attempt. So try to remember as more names as possible but always make CORRECT reference.

A good way to remember them is to write them on small cards, case name on front and what the case was about on the rear and then flick thru them first testing yourself on what the case was about from just seeing the case name, then trying to remember the case name from what it involved. A bit like passcards.

I remember reading something about case names during the times of the old, old (when they were papers 1-14) syllabus.
I think he said that remembering the details of the case names is not as important as remembering the "general thrust" of the precendent set by the case.
But cannot find the link to the quote so take this as heresay from gaap boy
