do we have to cite all the acts of the Companies Acts, Partnership Acts, etc in our answers? If we cited wrong acts, would there be any penalty?

My teacher said if you really not sure dont put the number or case name down..he said will minus mark if wrong..more impt to remember the substance in the sections of the legislation
