WordPerfect Office X3
Canadian software company Corel has launched a new version of the WordPerfect Office productivity suite. The new version promises better interoperability with Microsoft Office as well as the ability to import and export documents to PDF format.

The product also features an enhanced user interface, a new mail client and the ability to conduct searches from within applications via Yahoo! Search.

Although most people probably thought that WordPerfect Office died several years ago, crushed under the weight of Microsoft Office, Corel has been plugging away ,updating the key components of both the WordPerfect and Quattro Pro spreadsheet. The company claims that it is still the world's leading alternative to Microsoft Office.

The product is available in two versions. The Standard Edition contains WordPerfect X3 for word processing, the Quattro Pro X3 spreadsheet and Presentations X3 for multimedia presentations as well as the new WordPerfect Mail email application and the graphics and image editing program Presentations Graphics X3.

The Home Edition features special home-oriented versions of WordPerfect X3 and Quattro Pro X3 as well as Corel Photo Album 6, Pinnacle Studio SE, Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD LE v8, and Norton Internet Security 2006. It also includes two WordPerfect OfficeReady Template Packs, Personal Finance and Home and School Essentials.

I have heard first time that Corel has any Word like software :) .

Absolutely first time heard that there is any other Microsoft Word like software.Interested to listen more about its handy features.

I have seen screenshots of WordPerfect 10 in CD shop if my memory is correct and it was not very much alluring to say bye bye to Microsoft Office.I haven't seen any screenshot of X3.

Previous Word Software of Corel wasn't good at all compared to Microsoft Word.

Looks wonderful and it can market share because Microsoft has lost legal lawsuit pending for patents in Office. :)

I have used it, imho its just pump from anti microsoft groups otherwise microsoft office is better all the way.

Then it another long wait, till there is some alternative to MS. oh...well...
