Is is true that we should not use pencil in exam ...?? then how to draw DFD modle and everything in 2.1 exam.. ???

I used ball point to draw dfd.It is not drawing paper you just have to draw correct data flow diagram.

can we use pancil to lightly write down points, to erase them later if we think we'll forget them?

Yes you can use it :)
do not erase later on because examiner can give you credit of your workings even if your calculation is not correct.

well. i have used pencil today in 2.1 & now i am reading this post!!!!!!!!!
hope i'll pass in 2.1 in june 2006 attempt.

diagramzs should be drawn using pencil.
