A Yahoo search for "Falun Gong," a quasi-Buddhist religious sect that the Chinese Communist Party outlawed in 1999, found nearly 2 million sites. By comparison, the same search on Yahoo China "did not find any related news."

Two questions in my mind.
1)What's the advantage of doing this? Because chinese can use yahoo.com instead of yahoo.cn .
2)What is China's role in it? Its not all about Yahoo ?

There is somekind of firewall installed by China to filter the results.Its interesting to know who has control over www.yahoo.cn China or Yahoo ?

Google.cn has also filtered results for falun gong.
