Hi,

I'm looking for a little advice for accountancy interviews.

I changed direction after doing a Biology degree and embarking on a career in MicroBiology to do an Accounting masters.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any good questions that I could ask employers in interviews and any suggestions as to what
would be good responses in interviews to answer the following questions:

Why have you chosen to change from Biology to Accountancy (obviously money and career opportunities don't cut it)
- I was thinking more along the lines of 'accountants are key to all business etc'

What do you like / dislike about Accountancy?

Why do you want to become a Management Accountant as above a Tax / Audit etc Accountant?

Why do you want to do CIMA/ACCA study?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What are your career objectives?

What key competancies do you feel you have that an Accountant needs?

What is your biggest success?

What is your biggest failure?

What are your best qualities?

What are your worst qualities?

How would your friends / manager describe you?

Tell me an area you would like to improve uopn?

Why are you leaving your current position?

What do you like / dislike about your current position?

What do you feel you can bring to this company?

What would be your ideal job?

What can you do for us that other candidates cannot?

What are you salary expectations?

Hope you can help!
