:shock: Hey ppl! This is my first acca exam! any1 got any hints on what to focus on 4 this exam! I am using the BPP material - can any1 help...

ok.. now you say this is your first acca exam and you are posting in the professional section!!? buddy are you in the wrong place go and post this thread in the Fundementals sections and do mention what papers you are appearing for.

How do you know this isn't his first exam? You can get exemptions on the Fundamental section.
This is my 2nd ACCA exam, I did F8 and now just the professional section to go.
Anyway, to answer OP...
I'm focusing on the 4 main headers of Corporate Governenace, Ethics, Rick Management and Internal Controls... I'm still reading through the BPP book myself, but I think if you stick to getting as much info on those 4 key areas as you can, you'll be fine!!!

Easy buddy! When you do an MA(Hons) then you are entitled to exemptions as i am! so i start on the professional exams - do your research m8! :D

there a lot of pple i know who got exempted from all 9 papers, so its possible for him to be taking proff paper for the first time.

i have almost completed reading my bpp text and well guys, it seems like i cannot recall anything i have been reading. any asvise on on to make things stick a bit? although i am understanding when i am reading.

I also experianced same, geeta. I used Bpp passcards and it helped me a lot revising n recalling what i have learned, when going through the text book so i advise u the same. question practice ( from revision kit) and disscussion with other P1 students also Helps.
