We are muslim and obey rulings of islam then what is the confusion of Lahore Marathon at last why government wants mix marathon is necessary to put modern image of Pakistan.

According to islamic point of view it is totally wrong but the question is who is drawing the women from homes to take part in Lahore Marathon(Daud Mayray Lahore) ?
They are coming with their own will so the should be taught islamic pov otherwise what is wrong with mix marathon if you have not completed your home work in 1425+ years of teaching goods and bads :?

Sports are equally good for men and women.

You are right Mohsin but at least Government should discourage these kind of things.
Yes usagi marathon is good for both but our religion doesn't allow mix events.And if you know about islamic games there are women participating but separate from men.

It is unethical for the government to arrange these kind of mix events.If they have achieved so much and want some followings of western nations then they should arrange marathon for women in separate roads.Pakistani women can run 42 KM ? :)

It is really long race but there are also other categories available.It all depends on your practice of running but yeah 42 kilo meter is a long distance. 8)

If Marathon is controversal in your country then controversy should be solved first.

In pakistani society there is no sense of arranging mix marathons.It would be more better if they arrange gatherings to give shelters to those people who sleep on footpaths in lahore.

It is against the rulings of islam.Actually rulers of islamic countries want to create confusion in the minds of innocent public regard modernization and islam.Women are equal to Men in every viewpoint but both of different scopes of work.
Men cannot feed children better than Women.
Women cannot earn for children better than Men.
If there is need of marathon then it should be separately held for women.

Nowdays head of the states of Islamic countires have no religion they believe in saving their rule chairs only.

Let see what is going to happen tomorrow.MMA is not looking serious to stop the marathon just collecting sympathies of people.

It is not about MMA because it is already exhausted party after their unsuccessful million marches against uniform issue of General Pervayz.Yes tomorrow will be something new.

It seems MMA is been successful to prevent mass participation of women in marathon.There are not many women there. :(

Liberal Mix Marathon news was burried under accident of train.

We only remember islam when it comes to having a mixed race! Why dont we speak about mixed commuting - which our women face every day on their way to schools, colleges and work places;mixed working environment etc etc. Islam is not about choosing elements, it is about accepting the whole package as it is presented.
