No use of B.Com

   ( >> )

I have totally wasted my time while studying in B.com its because there are lot of subjects which are no way related to Commerce and we have to study and pass them in B.Com.So as far i think it was my mistake to take admission and study B.Com it's because i have very less knowledge of Commerce while there is my friend who is studying CAT and he has better knowledge than me.Seeing the situation of M.Com i am totally confused what to do next.

join ACCA.

hi friend
if u r in pakistan, the only way ahead to a proper job market is chartered accountancy or CMA, i dont thnk ACCA is a very efficient job market in pakistan. if u find it tough, then i think reward should be enough to motivate u, M.Com is even more useless than B.Com. I had only cleared C.A intermediate then i use to teach M.Com student. so dont waste ur time, go for something that matters more.

No
I don't agree with you.

Well bro it would not be wrong to say that B.com at the present moment has no value its nothing more than graduation for ya its not gonna help ya in ur practical life.Anyhow if ya talk about ACCA,question is with which field u compare it.

If u r looking for audit in Pak u should go for CA

If u r looking for finance services, i.e MBA Finance, unless u read from good institute like LUMS or IBA,ACCA is better.

If u look jobs in SECP it really provides the oppurtunity to ACCA member.

On the whole the ACCA is developing its market day by day and it really has started to take over financial postions especially in Banks.

So the choice is urs.

ACCA is wonderful, flexible, and honored.
hassan_739 - 20 Aug 2006, 09:51 am
i think thats right, subjects like urdu, and pakistan studies you have been studying for years and then there is no specific need for such kind of subjects, it is use less, i thik instead od bcom or stuff like that ACCA is much better option, at least at the end you are rewarded for your hardwork, but its not the case with bcom or even mcom
Mariam - 20 Aug 2006, 03:21 pm
I have pakistan studies because it is same right from 3rd class. :(

GuyZZ! comon stop crying and moaning God! you have to do bachelours oky? so either do B.com or simply do BBa kapeesh? and if you have extra fuel in the tank then also do CAT simaltanously which will give you a very good base of the accountancy field and a jump start in the Acca papers(exemption).

so chill, smile be happy and think positive.

Remember the glass is either half empty or it is half full now which one you choose that is up tp you!

Take care

There is no real benefit of having bachelor degree without any practical skill. If you are interested in accounting then start CAT right after Matric.

B.com fazool tareen degree hay.
It guarantees 100% waste of time and money.
hassan_739 - 23 Aug 2006, 10:31 am
bcom is useless if you are looking for a successful career in accounts because you dont find that calibre of finance studies which you can get with acca and similar stuff.i myself has enrolled into BBA but still the calibre is an issue, so thats why iam looking for some thing like acca, and thats the only reason iam not satistfied with BBA! cheers....
book - 15 Sep 2006, 02:16 pm
its a good base degree.

Then add up on top of that.

do not finish at Bcom.
rluitel - 16 Sep 2006, 05:21 am
guess your base is Bcom ..
book - 16 Sep 2006, 09:34 am
Nope,

Just the fact that the market here recognises BCom quite a lot.
