At the time of my registeration for ACCA Professional Qualification Scheme, I wanted to study Advanced Performance Management alogside Advance Audit and Assurance. In old qualification I had to study Advenced Financial Management at Core Level.

In new qualification, I shall be appearing for 2 optional papers alongside P3. I have not yet joined any coaching classes and am studying on my own. I am presently working at BDO Ebrahim and Company Chartered Accountants. I definitely want to appear for P7(Advanced Audit and Assurance) but am having problems which subject to choose between P5 (Advanced Performance Management) and P4 (Advanced Financial Management). I shall be thankful for any kind of support you could offer me for selection of Optional papers.

I did pass Paper 3.4 June 2007, now I prefer P5 over P7 or P4, reason: this paper has the highest pass rate. So Time value of money, the faster you get qualified the lower the cost of opportunity

better go for p5
paper p4 is new and is not the same as 3.7

I am self-studying P5, anyone self-studying can let me know. I self-studying for F7 and P1 as well.

I have heard P4 is really a tough one!

If you have not done new PaperF9 - don't even consider doing P4!

If F9 went smooth, then go ahead :)
