In my opinion and experience BPP study text is better than Foulks Lynch text books.
And for 2.2 i would recommend reading FL book to collect more number of case references.And for 2.4 revision kit is very important of BPP.

If you want to score good marks then make 5 months plan.
Two months to read the book and 1 month for revision kit and rest of the two months for solving old question papers and revision.
impo BPP is good for self studying people and ftc for college guys.

Its personal choice. :)
BPP is consider bit more open for self reliant students.
