With the introduction of the new ACCA qualification, all ACCA trainees (students and affiliates) are now required to make an annual practical experience requirement (PER) return to ACCA, confirming their progress towards achieving the PER.

You are encouraged to make your 2007 annual PER return to ACCA by the end of January. This will enable your progress towards achieving the PER to be reflected in your February Examination Results and Status Report. However, you will still be able to make your 2007 annual PER return to ACCA up to 31 March 2008. If you are unable to make a return for 2007 by 31 March 2008 you will still be able to include all of the experience you have achieved to date when making your 2008 PER annual return. This will be available for online submission from 1 April 2008. Going forward, you should ensure that you make at least one PER return to ACCA in each calendar year.

I register with ACCA as student in Dec - 07, got five exemptions upto F5 and going to sit F6 and F7 this June. I completed my Master Degree in Commerce from Pakistan in 2001 and worked five years with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) starting from the role of Accounts Officer to Financial Controller. I left WWF in March 2005 after having moved to UK. Since that time I am out of profession.

Can I use my work experience with WWF to be counted towards PER. My Director of Finance in WWF was not a Chartered Accountant, he had MPA and LLB degrees.

Can anybody suggest me anything please?

Regards,

Zahid
