I signed up, its very sad that after more than 5 days of imposition of Martial Law only 12770 Signatures have been collected.

In country with over 160 million of population only 12,770 signed up and from more than 70 countries.

Is it a slept nation?

I think there is no use of petition because apparently it seems Pakistanis as a nation don't care about their basic rights anymore. Public has no sense at all about how to put pressure on government. And to do something for the man Chief Justice who was treating Police and Agencies according which were abusing poor ppl of Pakistan. But it seems Pakistani nation no more deserve any good and caring Justice in Supreme Court.

Everybody is sleeping!

Is there really any affect of these kind of online petitions?
Muhammad Amir - 14 Nov 2007, 02:58 pm
Dears in our beloved pakistan these petitions are of no worth but atleast we can do this small protest against perveze's invasion on constitution and his regime...

Muhammad Amir

Though its a sophisticated way of protest but it doesn't count in third world country and to add more there is dictatorship. I personally think it will make no difference at all because UK and US are with head of Pakistan and its enough to keep his Government working smoothly. If you like to sign on online petitions then its fine but I believe its fruitless you must go out of your home and organize big public protests and minimum number should not be less than a million people. But its sign is fading too because after more than a week of imposition of emergency there has been not a single big protest reported by international media which is quite free and blunt in reporting.
