I knew about PHD Accountancy but It always arises a question in my mind and that is about the equality of acca.

Every country (educational department of govt) sets the equality of profassional and technichal qualifications in terms of degrees such as masters. These rules are specially set for technichal qualifications and qualifications aworded by associations so that they can take admissions in different universities for further education.
In Pakistan CMA from ICMAP and CA from ICAP are equal to Masters.

So without this deffination we can't think about further admissions.
Here I would like to know if any one is aware of the equality of acca spacially in UK.

ACCA is governed by the regulations of the UK Companies Act, which state that the final level of the examinations must be at least equivalent to a 3-year UK degree.
Completion of Parts 1 and 2 of ACCA?s 2001 syllabus plus a research project has been assessed as equivalent to 360 CAT points by Oxford Brookes University and is, therefore, deemed to be equivalent to a UK bachelors honours degree.
Current ACCA literature states that the Part 3 examinations are set to a standard comparable to that required in the final examination of a UK Masters degree.

According to ACCA website, ACCA's final exams are equalent to BA/BSc of any University.
Kayleigh, do you mean that the final exams of ACCA 2007 will be equalent to UK Masters degree?
chand - 28 Feb 2006, 01:00 am
Part 2nd + RAW = BSc (AA) and equivalent to any Bachelor.

Where did you get that from?

Part III = Masters level is what ACCA says.

Yeah. That what I also read in student accountant and ACCA website. ACCA is equivalent to UK Master Degree and UN recognized ACCA syllabus is benchmark for every accountancy body. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACCA#History

Hi,

Do you know where in Europe or U.S offer PhD in Accountancy without requirement of GMAT (I hate it), but the school is also not bad.

Thank you
