May I get the attention of fellow members of this nforum. I am apakistani I want to go for ACA of ICAEW next year as it arrives in pakistan. I have heard that in UK even the local students have to wait about two years to find an articleship,is it right or wrong?

yes ICAEW has been started work in Paksitan. you may contact all those firm who provide trainee for CA. They may help you. Well as for UK concern there is nothing like that. I am in uk so i didn't heard any rumours so far. Well mostly big4 trainees do ICAEW because they have follow UK standard or PWC has some requirement for hiring ACA. The statement you shared might be based of someone's personal experiences but officially there is nothing like that.
Thanks
