Dears,

This era is the era of Specilaization and now people love to see new rapidly changing tasks in rapidly changing environment a student in a time of studyship is having two options one is moving horizontally and the second is moving verically let i explain this.

Moving Horizontally:-

Moving Horizontally is switching tasks in a same field in same environment for example If a person who has done ACCA starts persuing further career in ICAEW then we will say that he is expanding his professional exposure in horizontal manner because ACCA and ICAEW both are having similar counrse contents which are major in Finance, Reporting, Management, Law, Taxation, Ethics and HR. Those who have read management books will be aware of the trem "Job Enrichment" this is similar to job Enrichment.

Moving Vertically:-

Moving Vertically is expending skills in one field and going towards specialization for example a person who has done ACCA with Financial/Strategic Financial Management starts persuing career in CFA to enhance his further career as Financial Analyst this is persuing career verically this is called vertically because of a person is going upwards in a single area of wrok.

As I said in the start of my post that this era is the era of specialization and generalists are having no place in this rapidly changing environment due to this reason MBA after ACCA or ICAEW after ACCA is having not that scope which can be enjoyed by taking for example CFA after ACCA.

I hope this will be of some help to you.

Note:- These are solely my views and one can be having different views and even conflicting with those of mine.

Hello Mandy,

first of all there is no comparision of ACCA and Graduation, bcoz ACCA is a professional Certification and Graduation is an academic degree, a lot difference b/w both degress. If u want to see ur self on the top of the mountain then u should start ACCA. now its upto you.

Have a nice day...
