I am new in this forum.I Joined ACCA in 2005 and finished papers till 2.5 in first attempt.I am preparing for paper 2.6 on my own by doing self study.Is it possible to pass this paper by doing self study.And also i am looking for a job in uk .Can you please give me some advice.

ACCA 2.6 is an auditing paper named Audit and Internal Review Auditing is a very desiplined profession where as your query is concerned that can I prepare at my own? the answer is siply not why? as indicated above that auditing is disiplined profession you must need a supervision of a teacher not only a teacher he must have a broad experiance of todays audit environment the key areas of 2.6 paper is

as I Mentioned above all topics are not only technicle but also required in depth knowledge even if you are not able to gain practical Experiance i think with out any teacher you may not pass this paper because there are some assumptions on which the audit profession is based upon first you need to realize those assumptions the example which i give here is that many students of auditing and even some professionals(related to other areas not auditing) think that this is the duty of auditor to detect frauds and errors in the financial statements but this is not the auditors responsibility to detect frauds and errors he should not carry out audit procedures primerily to detect frauds and errors how ever the auditor should carry out the audit in such a way that any misstatements in financial statements can be detected as per ISA 240 so the conclusion to be drawn is that you should find a most famous teacher in your area for auditing subject otherwise it will be difficult for you to appear in auditing paper next session.
