hello everyone.....

i am studing F6 taxation (uk) and i have a problem regarding wear and tear allownace(WTA). i know that the formula for WTA is (rental income-bad debts-water tax-council tax)x10% but some times in question it is writen that "he claimed 10% WTA on furniture"......now plz tell me exactly what do i have to do....should i simply calculate the percentage of the amount given for the furniture or calculate with the formula given above ......???? plz explain

thanks

no you calculate it as you have done, the wear and tear is only on furnished properties which is why they term it as wear and tear on furniture.

Keep doing what you are doing

Yes, thats true just apply the above formula and its nothing related with the value of furniture.
