Hi,

Could anyone advise whether BPP or Kaplan Study Materials are better for P2?

Also, I have heard it is one of the hardest papers, would you also advise whether a weekend + revision course is recommended or would you think that a revision course would be enough + home study?

Will appreciated every advise

Thank you

Have just sat P2 In December and can honsetly say with a 5 day taught course and a 5 day revision course I still dont think i will have passed it. It is definately the hardest paper I have sat.

Depends how well you do home study i guess and how much assistance you need?

I did it through BPP and their notes are good as usual, never seen any Kaplan ones so cant really coment .......

Don't know anything about BPP and Kaplan.

As for me I prefer materials from LSBF for my ACCA training.

Good luck!

I was personally very disappointed with LSBF, enrolled for two papers and the tuition wasn't up to the standard of Kaplan in my opinion. Wouldn't personally recommend it to anyone....

hello,

I agree that LSBF had very poor materials/notes and poor facilities.

I also agree that P2 by far requires the greatest amount of time commitment.

I went to BPP for December 09 and took a 4 day taught and 3 day revision. I could have had double the amount of course time and it would not have been enough to cover all the material. The biggest element is how competent your is your F7.

One additional useful thing that BPP introduced last year was online lecture notes, which was very helpful in the revision phase especially for the stuff missed in class.

Consolidation from F7 kaplan and then from P2 of kaplan. For other topics only and only BPP.

If you had studied T6 and F7 then there will be no problem at all.

For kit BPP is the best.

hi
In p2 for consolidation Bpp Material is good. other small standards can be done from Kaplan. but major standards i.e ias 19, instruments, ifrs2, ias 12 etc should be done from standards book, after having a view from Bpp.

Hi
Yes P2 is hard but lots of question practice should see you through.
Try also your flash cards and other revision software to give you alternate ways to study.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi David123, where did you attend your Kaplan classes and who was your tutor?
