This is Mike from India. I am planning to take ACCA and currently in the Information Gathering Stage. Would really appreciate if you can help me find answers to the following questions.
1. Is it advisable to start ACCA at 26 years of Age. Is it too late?
2. Is ACCA worth a career change? I am currently working as an HR Executive and hold an MBA ( HR & Marketing: Dual Specialization) and have about 2 years of experience.
3. Does an employer pays attention to your academic record other than ACCA? Frankly speaking, I did my best in MBA where I scored 70% in aggregate, other than that my academic performance has been a little on the flip flop side. I was told by a friend of mine who is Part Qualified ACCA himself that an employer does not pay attention to anything other than your performance in ACCA. According to him, once you are an ACCA , you are judged by your charter and not by your usual University Degree.
4. What are my chances of moving out of India? Let's say to UK itself?
